Iver Michael

I met Tiff when she was pregnant. I had also just found out I was pregnant with our second, but hadn’t told anyone yet. Tiff approached me and suggested that we be friends. I liked her instantly. Since that moment a year and a half ago not only have I fallen in love with Tiff’s straightforward, encouraging, kindhearted way, but I’ve fallen in love with her whole family. Her family has become our family. We get to do life with these people. The ups and downs, texting in the middle of the night while our babies nursed, encouraging each other’s businesses and desire to live life to the fullest, sunset on the beach while our babies get impossibly sandy. They are the kind of people that make us feel more than ever like this is home.

We did a little shoot to celebrate Iver’s first birthday and to celebrate the miracle he is. This guy is only 12 months old but already has an incredible testimony of God’s grace and goodness. His name, Iver  comes from Oliver, from the olive tree. You can cut down the olive tree but it will sprout up again. Some are known to live thousands of years leaving behind much fruit and a great legacy. Iver is also Scandinavian for archer or bow warrior. His name is so fitting in so many ways. We see the legacy already, we see the warrior. So happy birthday Iver! We love you and are so thankful to have you in our lives! What a joy!
